Welcome to Étude High School

Étude High School prepares students for the fast-changing world awaiting them.  Whether their goals upon graduation are college- or career-focused, we provide a balance of support and challenge that blends academic learning with development of social skills. Our goal is to create rounded individuals who are confident in pursuing their own interests and as active participants in a diverse and inclusive community.

Students learn strategies to sharpen their reasoning skills and apply them to the increasingly complex academic and social worlds they encounter.

Engaging Creatively

At Étude, students take charge of their own studies  - designing and completing a project every trimester, then presenting it to their family and teacher in an Exhibition of Learning.

Connecting Fully

Étude High students grow and learn in a school-wide atmosphere of respect, openness, and collaboration. Students take the lead in designing and fulfilling their own projects; teachers help them stay on track for college and career choices.

College and Career Readiness

Étude High School prepares students to gain admission to college and to succeed while in college and on the career paths they choose. We encourage students to open their minds to possibilities; we help them find the right next step for who they are and who they want to become. College tours are key to our program. Étude students visit at least seven campuses, large and small, public and private; they talk with alumni; they attend the Wisconsin Education Fair. We help them to use Habits of Mind and Habits of Professionalism to develop planning and professional writing skills for resumes, applications, and presentations.

Étude High School offers a wide variety of courses including project based courses, interdisciplinary courses, arts based courses, and engineering/computer science based courses
