Thinking Critically

Étude Middle School builds on the learning-for-life approach established in Grades K-5 - and adds important new dimensions. Studies are now defined (although not confined) by academic disciplines - English, Math, Social Studies - and no longer taught by the same teacher in the same classroom. In this new learning environment, students rely on tools and techniques they have been working with since kindergarten, notably the Thinking Routines that develop analytical and reasoning skills. Collaboration and community remain our watchwords, while increasingly students are encouraged to pursue individual areas of interest, to empower their own identity and speak with their own voice

We all have our own interests, we all have much in common -  Middle School students learn to get the right balance
